The recent American Music awards highlighted who they chose as band or artist of each decade (50s - 90s).

That got me thinking about which band or artist, from each decade, that you would have liked to have despatched to meet their maker.

These are my top contenders...

50 & 60s; sorry not alive then.

70s; Paul McCartney should have died with the Beatles.

80s; Sting more proof that you should never go it alone after leaving a great band.

90s; Jamiroqaui cross between Stevie Wonder and Disco; uurgh, say no more.

Who would be your top picks. No wimping out and going for Michael Jackson. He's an artist who is a contender over all three of the last decades.

1950's: Charlie 'The Bird' Parker.
1960's: Jimi hendrix.
1970's: Rory Gallagher/David Bowie.
1980's: Nothing good has ever come from the 80's, 'twas really very crap and the music was shit (not to mention the clothes).
1990's: Radiohead/Leftfield/Air.

Sorry Slacker; didn't mean to mess with one of your favorite bands. But even you would have to admit that McCartney got pretty wet when he went solo.

Personally, I think the gunman that shot Lennon got the wrong ex Beatle.

I think everyone is familiar with my stance on the whole Beatles thing...I think they were the best band EVER - BAR NONE!

As for bands/singers I dislike:

'50s - Dion (sp?)
'60s - Peter, Paul & Mary
'70s - Fleetwood Mac
'80s - Oingo Boingo/Flock of Seagulls/Milli Vanilli
'90s - Bruce Hornsby

Artists I dislike (I'm limiting this to one a decade, as I could go on for decades...):

50's - Frankie Avalon
60's - Grateful Dead (Boring hippie crap. I'm grateful that Jerry's dead.)
70's - K.C. and the Sunshine Band
80's - (urgh, so many...) Hall & Oats
90's - Name a Teeny-bopper group...

Thar ya' go. No mention of the Beatles.
