quote: Indiana Jones to Return — and Other Golden Globe News At the end of a wild night of partying and celebrating for the 2002 Golden Globes, I had the rare opportunity of talking with Steven Spielberg, Kate Capshaw and Harrison Ford. They were sitting together in a small booth in the basement of Trader Vic's at the Beverly Hilton Hotel at the combined party thrown by DreamWorks, USA Films and Universal Pictures. This threesome is pretty much it in Hollywood. After all, between Spielberg and Ford they've made some of the highest grossing and best loved films of all time. Capshaw, who's Mrs. Spielberg, co-starred with Ford in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. So what's the story, I wanted to know — with this trio finally in one place, and relaxed enough to talk, will we ever see Indiana Jones 4? "Yes," they all said, and confirmed that once Spielberg films Catch Me If You Can with Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks, IJ4 will be his priority. "We have a title, but we're not ready to announce it," Spielberg said. "I will give you one clue, though. Kate is in it." I asked if he meant that Capshaw's character would appear via flashbacks, and he replied: "No. She'll be in the present."

Yeeeee-HAAAAAA! Mind you, what would the next title be? "Indian Jones and The Great Escape from the Retirement Village?" hehehe...heck. I don't care. I just want to see the 4th one anyways. Are you going along to see it (if) and when it does get released, Slacker? |

This could be the best movie on the face of the planet, or a scary travesty. I'll have my whip too, and cheer Harrison Ford even though he's turning into a bit of a David Hasselhof, and clench my teeth untill I know for sure it's not another Karate Kid 4. |

Dont forget George Lucus Man!! He will be in on Indiana Jones too. Spielberg is good but without Lucus, Jones would not be. I look forward to the next film also. I wonder how much Harrison Ford asks for the next pic? He kicks ass forever! I dont think there is a film he is in that I hate. There is God, then Eastwood and then Ford... Amen |

Eastwood sucks more than the kids in Michael Jackson's basement. I think the real head three are James Marsters, God, and Ford in that order. |

No, Ford is a little further down, below Shawn Michaels and Ben Folds. |

Tostito, would the Karate Kid 4 that you speak so highly of be the one where they're stuck in the theme park?Or did that just appear in a dream of mine recently? Because that has been known to happen. |

So I guess the whole theory of sequels making money strictly off the name of the original has been shot to dust. |

Suppose so. I mean, you usually need something resembling substance and plotline. See, I can't even personally remember if Bride of Chucky was the one where the kid was in military camp and for some unexplained reason (per all shitty sequels) a paintball war was being planned using RED PAINT. Gee, I thought while watching this pitiful excuse of whatever it was, I wonder if perhaps that idiotic concept will be exploited to Chucky's advantage later in the film? However displeased with the movie I may have been, I felt quite comfortable with the predictability of it. |
