My sister gave me cash for Christmas because she was working and wasn't able to get me a regular present. My mum and dad gave me vouchers for a music store and I got money from my aunt and my grandmother. So basically I will be waltzing off to buy all the cds I can possibly afford. Yay.
Is 'echoes' any good Slacker? I was thinking of getting that or maybe I'll just get the best of Smashing Pumpkins instead.

echoes is good, it gives a nice taste of th various forms and sounds of pink floyd. its good if you are a so-so fan. but full length albums are always better than greatest hits collections.

Went off the idea of buying echoes and spent about 45minutes to an hour flicking through the cds in the sale section, seeing as I got a voucher for our cd store for Christmas.

Came home with :

Wannadies - Be a girl £4
The Bluetones - Science and Nature £4

but then splashed out on Almost Famous Dvd £16 and have ordered White Stripes 'White Blood Cells'.

You gotta love buying stuff with other people's money...

I have decided that the White Stripes are the gay children of Flaming Lips, Weezer, and Violent Femmes.

They are a bunch of public school boys who made a very very soft band, manic tried to corrupt me but my soul is intact. Fantomas I love you!

If Mike Patton's involved, you know it's good.

Tostito, you didn't take too much time to corrupt and you have to admit, you liked it.

White stripes are such a good band Slacker, kind of like The Strokes. They have a new album called White Blood Cells, with a great single called Hotel Yorba on it.

Sometimes it seems to me Slacker lives under a rock.

I think it must be a nice rock though with all mod cons, so no hardship!

Yes, Slacker, but while you're off under your rock, you've also missed out on good bands, such as The Strokes and the White Stripes. Come out, and join humanity.
