You guys must have read this just recently, but the FBI is trying real hard to not have to release their files on John Lennon.Apparently they were investigating John Lennon because, according to J. Edgar Hoover, Lennon was quote:
poisoning the minds of America's youth
Is this the same J. Edgar Hoover with a penchant for cross dressing?  Look up hipocracy in the dictionary and there's a picture of Mr Hoover (complete with frilly red undies, a mini skirt and stilletos). |

Yeah, they tried real hard to boot him out of the country. Wouldn't grant him citizenship or anything. I can't wait till they release the Pat Boone files. |

They were investigating John Lennon because self importance was rife in the American government, and he was suspected of:*Funding IRA actions, supporting the IRA's cause *Ghost writing some articles/financing a Marxist magazine, I forget the name *Something about a worker's revolt? He was sending letters and stuff to union bosses or something like that, I don't know the details, I'm not even sure about what it was exactly. But basically it was the whole 'Red Peril' style mentality, you know the stuff. |
