Mustaches are illegal if the bearer has a tendency to habitually kiss other humans.

It is illegal for a man to be sexually aroused in public.

In South Bend, it is illegal to make a monkey smoke a cigarette.

Baths may not be taken between the months of October and March.

Pedestrians crossing the highway at night are prohibited from wearing tail lights.

Anyone 14 or older who profanely curses, damns or swears by the name of God, Jesus Christ or the Holy Ghost, shall be fined one to three dollars for each offense, with a maximum fine of ten dollars per day.

In Gary, within four hours of eating garlic, a person may not enter a movie house, theater or ride a public streetcar.

Boy, howdy....these laws are seriously screwed!

Unfortunately, I can attest that around my Tri-State area, there are some fucked up laws. Why are they still on the books? Because there are some people out there without a sense of humor and who really need to take that Plaster of Paris enema out of their ass.

Life's easier that way.

Shouldn't the garlic thing and the kissing thing be merged somehow?

These sound like anachronistic laws that maybe made sense at the time. Maybe in 2200 someone will look up the town hall minutes somewhere and decide that picking up dog crap is bizarre.

Who knows if they work at all.

But if I had to imagine the interior of a politician mind, I would probably think of a naked monkey, admiring itself on the mirror.

We got the Blue Laws, which are screwy. So many laws we don't even abide by these days, but still are laws.
