You know, there is a difference between getting ratings and being a maggot.

And Fox has crossed that line.

My local Fox station is getting weird. If you went back five years ago, they were just another station that put out some cool programming. Now, the only thing that I take notice is when the plastic-faced women with fake eyebrows lure the stupidity of our society about "WATCH A REAL LIFE BUNGEE JUMP LIVE!" or "WATCH US CRASH A CAR LIVE!" or my favorite "WATCH OUT OF OUR LITTLE RATINGS STUNTS GO AWRY AND CRUSH OUR OVERLY PRETTY SLICE-OF-ASS ANCHOR AND HER FINAL LAST WORDS BEFORE HER HEAD COMES OFF IN THE MEDIC'S HANDS LIVE!!!"

*sigh*

And trust me, it's only a matter of time before Fox does this.

Well, I am truly sickened. Excuse me now as I ponder why I haven't changed it to the Cartoon Network.

*sigh x 2*

I have always found local newscasts eerie. Ever notice how they have the same twisted "family" thing going on? Here's the description, and I'll bet yr local news cast is like this.

The co-anchors (one male, one female) are the stern but pleasant parental figures.

There is "the Good Child" in the form of the weather person, neat and reliable.

And then there's the "Lil' Devil" a.k.a. the sports caster. Some time the child roles of the weather and sports people are reversed.

There you have it. The whole creepy family thing. Go to anytown anywhere in America, and I'll bet you'll find these exact types in every town.

It just really weirds me out.

My fellow bretheren and I are waiting for the FOX show "Do You Want To Bury A Millionaire?"

That would be a hit. I think they should use Regis Philbin for the first millionaire.

I'm starting to dislike CN. They handle things like crap. But they still have good shows yes, but they must learn to have some tolerance towards issuses brought up in shows.
