Okay, I was watching a promo for Bridget Jones's Diary today (for a movie channel which is trying to tempt me into shelling out money) and something was said about 'not watching my weight' in regards to Bridget herself.Only problem was, she wasn't fat. So, since we have some nice WWYK ladies here, can you tell me what is 'fat' in today's world? I haven't the slightest clue at all and since I can expect honesty from everyone in here, I figure I should get an impression about why and what and how some women think they're cows. So, come on, go nuts. |

My experience is that most women reckon they're fat cows if they are under 6 foot tall and weigh more than 40 kg (88lbs).If they're over 6 foot tall, 45 kg is acceptable. |

And another thing, I read where Rene Zelweger is negotiating 'Bidget Jones 2' and is trying to have the producers slim Bridget down cos she felt ugly during the making of the first movie.Someone should let her know that the stick insect look is uglier. |

Sad but too true , everyone looks to Hollywood and the models as an indication of the perfect body , me on the other hand at 5'4" and almost 44 kgs am struggling to put some weight on but constantly being told how lucky I am . You said the N word, Nicky! Now you've done it. Pro will be in here like a shot! Well, you've seen MY height (and weight). Since shifting to the UK (and actually having food to eat rather than starving in a garret as I HAD been) I've managed to put on some weight. Nothing too drastic, and can still fit all my old clothes. So, you tell ME! How's it look? Because, personally...I'm quite okay with how I look. |

Exile,88 POUNDS?? You're fucking joking...but it does make sense. Problem is, the insect look is out. Not only is it unhealthy but it's kinda creepy when a woman is so thin you can see her skull when she has the sun behind her....ewww... Gyps, Nah, you need to build muscle so you can break concrete slabs. Now that would rock. Lo, Oh, stop it, you are not fat. Geez, what are you, a perfectionist? |

Me? A perfectionist? Nah, not always. Love me as I am...or leave me I say! (Luckily, I'm loved! ) And am definitely NOT into EITHER the "stick insect" look OR the "muscle woman" physique! |

I think a woman "should" look healthy, neither too thin nor too fat. Some women have a natural tendency do be one or the other, which is perfectly OK with me. My personal fetish is healthy, smooth homogeneous, "chewy" skin, and yes, sothing to get my teeth into (Please don't get freaked out!, and do continue the dicussion) |

I personally think too skinny is not good , unless your one with a very metabolism and has trouble to put a few extra pounds on, I on the other hand have always been chubby, I've tried and tried, the only thing that works for me is going to the gym and work out, but still the chubbyness is still there, I've almost given up thinking I can have a slim physic like my sister. I am who I am, so you either like me or ya don't. Lotus ya seen me pic, so you can fill in the rest for them. |

Yeah guys, its a little distressing the state of some ladies minds that they would think that if they maintain a skeleton size that they will be gawked at. You've all pretty much got it right, the ladies need to be healthy and that requires meat on the bones. Nothing that would restrict their day to day lives, but enough weight to keep them healthy and add those curves that drive the men wild. BTW Lotus, its very good to hear that you have your diet back again, was not happy to hear that you had starved [This message has been edited by WarDog (edited 03-14-2002).] |

Actually, I get the feeling Lotus has always been fit. But, I eagerly await the day when she can break concrete slabs. That would rock. |

Sometimes I don't understand what it is about women and weight. Some of them gain a few ounces and go positively apeshit. They start their spiel that they're too fat, that they're an ugly cow, et cetera, et cetera. The bony look is NOT and NEVER WILL BE sexy to me. There's nothing wrong with having some meat on the bones. |

My outlook on the weight thing used to be bad when i was younger, but now i don't give a toss, i don't think i need to prove myself to anyone, and if you don't like, tough. No, not spoken to her recently. But, last time I spoke to her, she mentioned something about something had come up, and she had to rush off to "lay something to rest". Any ideas as to what she meant?[This message has been edited by Lotus666 (edited 03-19-2002).] |
