Christmas Day was "League of Gentlemen" viewing day. Boxing Day has been "Columbo" viewing day (Boxed Set).

What has everyone else been viewing these holidays?

Been slaving away at the Video Store, but had chance to put on Yellow Submarine and Shreck.
Sorry it took so long to get back here!

How's the UK treating you this Xmas?

Aaaah...da Doc is in da house!

Heya, Doc Edge. Been a long time! The UK is treating me VERY nicely (as is my new fiance!) Saw some snow yesterday, so count this as my first "white" xmas (need more though.) Settling into my new home nicely.

"Yellow Submarine" & "Shrek" hey? Nice. I really enjoyed SHREK. Did you? So, what else has the good Doc been up to then?

I've got the entire run of Monty Python on DVD, so everyday since the 25th I've been partaking in the wonders of the Flying Circus.

Didn't watch much in terms of TV - was either watching Shrek on DVD or reading more of Ravenheart by David Gemmell.

Sure did, Lotus. I saw Shrek in the theaters, and I enjoy it more each time I watch it.

Aha. Did you know that part of The Monty Python 'Dead Parrot' sketch was set in my home town of Bolton

quote:
Mr. Praline : A palindrome...?

Owner : Yeah, yeah.

Mr. Praline : It's not a palindrome! The palindrome of "Bolton" would be "Notlob!" It don't work!!

We have few things to boast about here in 'Sunny Bolton' so let this be one of those few things.

I enjoyed shrek and now I am trying to get a hold of Lord of the rings. Angel eyes was a nice movie but not very complex.

YEP! Agree...no tinkering! Just came to the realisation last night that I had never seen any of Series 2 of Red Dwarf until now! Came across Red Dwarf in Series 3 the first time round. So, have been enjoying catching up on all I've missed!

(Am also enjoying watching Doctor Who on UK Gold! Am in 7th Sci-Fi heaven here...I truly am!) Oh, and laz...never knew that one of my favourite Monty Python sketches ever was set in Bolton. Learn something new and useful every day, don't you? hehehe....

(Wonder where the "Cheese Shop" sketch was set?)

Ahhh Lotus there was a program on the telly a short while back about Monty Python, with interviews of the surviving members.

Micheal Palin did a bit on revisiting some of the places where many of the sketches were filmed in London, putting up plaques outside people houses. I think the 'cheese shop' sketch was one of them
