Well seeing as no one else has thought I would , just to let Lotus know her annoucements do get read . Never having had anything to do with a mouldy hampster put me off at first but then I remembered the moudy rat I found in my front yard , firstly I got several large plastic bags and used them as a glove to both pick up and dispose of the offending little gritter , my bin stunk for weeks of the damn thing .

Gypsy dear...thanks for the thought...but Nicky Bicky already beat you to the punch! (See down the list!) But thanks anyway. Yes, rats do stink to high heaven if you chuck them in a bin. Better to catch 'em early and feed them to the cat instead!

(Only thing is...if the cat comes in and gives you a lick with "ratty breath"...ICK!)

Did look I don't know how I missed Nick's , actually checked twice . The rat was already dead think the cats next door got it , just wished they hadn't left it in my yard .

I love the way cats do that.

Go out hunting and bring you back the entrails of some vole or another.

"A present for you Mr Owner, that'll teach you to feed me that shitty cat food while you eat steak....Bastard!"

I suggest changing cat's diet to steak and the you will probably find that it drags back boxes of chocolate and bottles of beer for you.

just a thought

Beer? Ick...not so good. The mouldy rat sounds more appealing! But the chocolates definitely sound a "goer"! (IF ONLY!)

Says who? I wouldn't drink beer if I was dying from thirst.

Just the smell of beer is enough to turn me away. Blecch!

well, you've got an excuse I suppose. American beer does taste like piss.
Come over here and have some proper stuff.

(and your whiskey tastes like shite too)

True, American beer does taste like bad water. In fact, it might be bad water.

But who can resist the nice wood furnish taste of Jack Daniels? Who, I ask you?

Beer is practically tears from god, and anyone who says otherwise is obviously really........stupid (damnit I hate it when rage gets the better of my vocabulary).

I'm with Withnail on the whisky front as well, Irish is the way to go, Jamesons is great stuff.

Okay, truth be told, I'm not much of a drinker. But still, I don't care for beer. Wine is okay, but I need to develop a taste for it.

Strange how a thread about a mouldy hamster can turn into one about alcohol....wat do you reckon a mouldy hamster would taste like when fermented and turned into an alcoholic drink?

my vote's with cider.

Doesnt matter what country its from as long as the end result is a head-splitting hangover the next morning.

Actually with my work schedule the way it is, I dont get much time to drink. So, when I get the chance to go out I usually tie one on real good. Depending on my mood, I'll drink beer, mixed drinks or whatever I'm not to fussy. Semi-naked women dancing about the bar is a plus anyday.

I don't get many opportunities to drink either.

I could tell when a lot of people had been drinking the day before - a lot of no-shows at work.

Turbo Shandy Strawpedo
*X2 Bottles lager (any brand)
*X2 Bottles Smirnoff Ice
*X4 Shots vodka

Mix in a 2 litre bottle and then strawpedo the lot. That'll make a mess of you pretty fast, as long as you strawpedo it.

Tell me about it, Gypsy. When I stayed late on the day after Thanksgiving, there were 11 no-shows, and I suspected it was because they got plastered the night before.

I wouldn't have to work so much if the top brass would do something that's been in front of their faces for months - hire more clerks. If they're willing to blow big money for equipment that sanitizes the mail after all those anthrax scares, surely it can't be too much trouble to hire more clerks.

But nope, they have too much blind faith in this new machine called the singulator - an automatic parcel sorter. They saw the completion of said machine as a reason to get rid of 20 regular clerks - a big mistake. So far, the singulator has proven to be nothing more than a pain in the ass for everybody, especially maintenance. If that machine wasn't the property of the U. S. Postal Service, I'd give that machine what-for with a sledgehammer.

The only good thing about working late often means...mo' money, mo' money, mo' money!

Great! I guess the damn postage stamp is going to jump to 60cents now.
We got to pay for the singulator now.

Singulator sounds more like what a laid off postal employee becomes.

Cause he’s going down with the new sound…….Click, Click, Boom.

Hey, L. D.
Why do all postal employee’s I’ve seen have a chip on their shoulders? Mostly the clerks that are stuck at the front receptions desk.
I feel that I have disturbed them from sitting on their ass’s.
If there were a thought cloud over their head it would have a picture of them getting their paycheck. Like how dare I disturb them while they’re waiting for the next pay check.

Oh, take that moldy hamster and puree it. Add salt and pepper for taste. Serve chilled.

I don't really know, Puppet Boy.

I read somewhere that postal workers are more likely to gripe about their work, their co-workers, their supervisors, and so on. I didn't believe it until recently.

To those of you so inclined I am sure that this mouldy hamster would in fact not put up as much of a fight as a live one when you try to force it into your favorite toilet paper roll . Would it in fact slide slowly in lubricated by its now exposed innards?
