U wanna go from xmas to the whit hols (end of may) without any time off of school? thats like.. er..5months.. PFFFFT

Truth be told, I haven't seen her or heard from her since the night of January 8th and it's driving me insane.

Otherwise, I got something I wanted - a book by David Gemmell called Sword in the Storm. I'll admit it's fascinating.

Since she moved from the beaches to Orange Park (somewhere farther inland), she hasn't had a phone - the move took a big chunk out of her finances and she lives on a tight budget as it is. She doesn't have e-mail, much less a computer and her old cell phone doesn't work.

She told me quite some time ago that her grandmother is in remission from cancer and her mother isn't doing too well either. It's possible that either one of them or both took a turn for the worse and she went to visit them - I understand that. I'd do the same thing if I was her.

I went to meet up with her about 3 weeks after the last time we got together, but she didn't show up. It's not the only time it happened, and I don't hold things like that against her.

I'm bogged down with work as it is and our free time doesn't always coincide.

Besides, both of us have made it clear that we're not obligated to inform the other every little thing that goes on in our waking lives.

She might have gone back to school to complete her degree - I don't know for sure.

I've tried making contact with her by going to her apartment, but whenever I knock on her door, there's no answer. And even when I go there, it takes a great amount of courage for me to knock on her door. Sometimes I get as far as her apartment, but then I start feeling like it's easier to just leave and not go through with it.

I would consider ending the relationship, but when you've put almost 5 and a half years of your life into it, it's difficult, if not impossible, to drop it just like that. I have such strong feelings for her that it would break my heart to drop it just like that.

Besides, if either one of us wants to end it, I want to tell her myself or have her tell me it's over. I don't want to leave any loose ends before moving forward, otherwise I would feel like I'm being unfaithful.

There were times we were apart for a couple of months because of personal matters - we always got back together and picked up where we left off.

There were some difficult times along the way. No one ever said relationships were supposed to be easy. William Shakespeare wrote in A Midsummer Night's Dream that the course of true love never did run smooth.

She knows I'm thinking of her and it would take something drastic to make me stop seeing her. It's a matter of hoping for the best and do what's in my heart.
