Hey, Happy St. Patricks Day. St. Patricks day is the day we honour the patron saint of Ireland who is, yep, you guessed it, St. Patrick. As I am the Irish contingent to the boards, (with Vanessa I guess) I'd like to wish everyone a happy Saint Patricks Day. Now...to be realistic. I hate St. Patricks day with a fucking vengence. Today I came out of work into a tacky green, white and gold world of false patriotism being created in the centre of the shopping precinct. Little Irish dancers in crazy dresses, ringlet hair and fucking annoying little clicky shoes. If that wasn't enough, there were numerous little pricks walking around thinking they were so cool with green hair and cans of green silly string. And all the while Irish songs are being belted out by a old man in an aron sweater. Bite me. [This message has been edited by manic_224 (edited 03-16-2002).] |

England has pubs full of little guinness fiddles (and other crap). You need to buy 5 pints of guinness to get one, or if your me steal one from work, unfortunately the novelty value wears off real quick when you've got a 6 hour shift and all you can hear is screaming little kids trying to river dance to fucking little electic fiddles played by parents who can't figure out that there is more than one song on them. Happy St. Pat's day. |

I can't believe I'm getting in an english debate with a goon who has a 3rd grade reading level. The use of the expression makes no sense in the context of this conversation about St Patrick's day, it just includes the word Irish. It is stupid, as are you. |

I celebrated St. Patricks day by showing up drunk at local Irish pub PJ Gallagher's at 4am, and being refused entry by a couple of bouncers because they were closed. Apparently, I wasn't wearing the right shoes anyway.Fucking leprechaun BULLSHIT. |

leprechaun bouncers? I celebrated by kicking drunk assholes out of my hotel. I went out to a bar, everyone there looked like Mike Myers, it was kind of creepy. |

Celebrated St. Patricks day in Warrenpoint (I know, you have no idea where that it) in a little pub called the Square Peg. Started off a good night, the band was playing stupid little Irish songs and the singer was great. Then of course it all turned very republican and there's everyone screaming out the song "Go on home British soldiers", me sitting very quietly in the corner with my drink.Ah, my cute little bigoted country. |
