So i was on a driving lesson today again which i think makes it my 15th lesson. I suck big time. Today though I was going to pull out of a side road onto a main road in front of a red car. There was a bunch of time before they'd reach me so my instructor let me go on but the driver of the other car insisted on beeping his horn at me and flashing his lights, while making obscene jestures through his window at me and miming 'what are you doing?!'. I laughed as did my instructor because here's this guy and his friend taking a little hissy fit at some girl pulling out in a learner car ages before they would get to me. Moral of my ranting? Be nice to little learners. Thankyou. |

No the fun part is when some git starts tailgating you and beebing the horn just because your a learner and he wants to see if he can scare you into stalling |

I did one lesson but gave up because my driving instructor spent all his time eating Snickers and drinking Lucozade. Tosser. |

Funny thing is, when you see those Student Driver cars around seven o'clock, they're always driving very fast, and very erratically. Must have been a rough day for the instructors. |

I'm just curious. Am I the only American around here? I don't MIND. I'm an accent freak, and reading all the Brit terms is as good as listening to y'all. I've read so many British mysteries and watched so much British teevee that I actually have an idea of what most of the slang means. Though I DID once have to ask the Evil Git what a 'bint' was. |

When I took driving lessons the instructor had his own set of brakes. If he didn't like what you were doing he would slam them on and yell at you.

I'm quite a little speeder but that's mainly because I don't really know what any of the speed limits are. My mum insured me for a week from tomorrow so I'll be able to go driving in her car for the next week. I pity her for having to teach me. Got my little 'L' plates today too, some sort of milestone I suppose. Catapult, if i drove on the right side of the road I'd get in severe trouble....
Scribe, you're nowhere near the only american. |

Scribe, I wanna tell you something, *We really do all come from London (originally) *People are being funny when they say Dick Vn Dyke got the accent wrong in Mary Poppins. Those that don't come from London talk like they do. There are no regional accents *Manchester United do not in fact exist. They are a cleverly marketed TV show. I can seel you a night in Buckingham Palace, where you will meet the Queen, for $2,000. You wanna? |

....anyway.....Today I went on my first independant driving lesson with my mother. Almost crashed at a roundabout and very nearly killed someone. Not bad for my first go. I am never setting foot inside a car again. Pedestrians rock. |

Or chase cats. And yes Scribe the room comes with Prince William. It also rotates. I can also sell you London Bridge if you want. London (where we all come from!) is bored of it. [This message has been edited by Donny (edited 08-09-2001).] |

Uh, thanks, catapault, for uh, whatever the hell that was. But, you uh, kinda missed the joke there...This was supposed to be the point where Tostito answers with: "Ah, I see you've never played knifey-spoony before!" because he's Australian, and that was from a random Simpson's episode, and I'm the coolest for knowing stupid crap like that. Look it up, you can find it if you try hard enough. |

That's a pity, we could have done something real pretty with your hair....Catapult, wouldn't you throwing me the bouquet mean that I'd be getting married next? Uh, please direct it at someone else.
