I'm getting new eyes. That is I'm getting a test for contacts. Although the concept of a small curved piece of plastic floating on my eyes scares the shit out of me, I can't actually see a thing thats father than about 3meters away from me and therefore I feel the need. Monday I'm going for my test and they're going to give me a free months trial of disposable contacts. Ew. But there you go. Just a query, does anyone here wear them? |

My room mate in college wore disposable contacts. He was/is rather fond of them. Though he overall prefers glasses. Are you going to get those crazy color changing ones? |

Please don't get the wacky color contacts. They creep the shit out of me. I was at a resturant and the Waitress had Contacts in that made her eyes red. It grossed me out. I couldn't finish my meal. |

I like coloured ones as long as they aren't overly freakish. Gently hued purple, ones like that. |

I knew a Vietnamese girl with blue contacts. It was rather breath-taking actually. But don't get color stuff if you have pretty eyes to start with. That would just be a shame. |

In Ireland it's 16, same as over here, so no more excuses, if you love it why don't you kiss it. Are you some kind of zero charisma gay lord? |

To clear up any confusion, no I'll just be getting normal contact lenses. The coloured ones cost way too much for me to get. My eyes are huge and they're a very dark grey/greeny colour and I'd look a bit crazy if I got really blue contacts or any other extreme colour because everyone is so used to my sort of 'ambiguous' colour. The yellow contacts creep me out severely and I think they're possibly the ugliest things I've ever seen. I like the ones with a little colour in them though, like the purple ones tostito mentioned. Not for me though. And actually Tostito it's 17 in Northern Ireland. Either way I'm over. |

I had a friend who'd wear light blue colored contact lenses. Made him look like a rat with cataracts. Yeah, go with the normal stuff. |

i have been wearing contacts since sixth grade, they are a pain in the ass at times, but much better than glasses.the only real problem with the laser surgery is i know people whose night vision got fucked up. so driving at night is bad... i wear extended wear, no diposable, too spensive for me. |

I think gals in glasses look Sexy , especially if paired up with a nice blouse, suit jacket, Skirt, nylons and high heels. The business woman look does it for me every time

I'm going to pretend I didn't read that.Went to the optician today and the guy who took me through the weirdest sight test was telling me it's probably more benefical for me to carry on just wearing glasses whenever I need to so I'm going to pick out a pair of frames and then maybe try contacts later. Plus he was a bit of a mean bastard and I didn't really want him going anywhere near my eyes with a small piece of plastic. |

I wear disposable contacts, and they're pretty great. Especially since they're so freaking cheap! I can make a 3 month supply last AT LEAST a year, sometimes more. Why, the pair I have in right this minute haven't left my eyes for going on 4 months now!! It's a personal record. Ssssh....don't tell my Optho. Because he'd be, um, jealous and stuff. |

my extended wear ones last roughly a year or, unless my vision changes and i start ramming into things with my car. then its time for new contacts..now we wont even mention that my glasses prescription is 5 years old.. |
