Six stabbed in wedding brawlSix people were taken to hospital with stab wounds.
Six people were stabbed after fighting broke out at a wedding reception attended by travellers in Berkshire.
Police were called to the reception at a riverside Holiday Inn hotel in Reading when fighting spilled into nearby streets.
A 26-year-old man was later arrested in Surrey in connection with the incident and is being questioned by officers.
The injured men, whose ages ranged from 16 to 40 years were treated at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
One of the men, who was not severely injured, was reported to have been stabbed with a razor blade while at the hospital receiving treatment.
Three of the injured were kept in hospital overnight and are said to be stable.
A Thames Valley Police spokeswoman said the wedding party had been attended by travellers from across the country.
'Party chaos'
About 100 guests were involved in the fracas which broke out at about 2325BST on Saturday, she said.
The hotel manager Nick Campbell said today: "The fighting broke out in a street opposite the hotel and nothing took place inside the premises.
"Our staff were obviously aware of the situation and contacted police.
"What happened that started the incident is pure speculation to us, but none of our staff were involved in the dispute and no damage was done to the hotel."
Detectives are appealing for information about a black BMW seen driving away from the reception after the incident - and later found abandoned.
...I'll be mildly dissapointed.
