Well, this may sound out of character, but earlier tonite, I went to an art gallery opening, and it may have been the coolest thing ever! First off, free beer! Can't go wrong with that.

Second, the art was pretty good. Sure, I know the guy, so I may be a little biased, but it was good stuff to look at. Not pretentious arty tripe, but pictures that made you want to stop and look. Then they broke ou the food. Good stuff there. Behold the power of cheese.

But the two best things happened outside the gallery. While outside smoking a cigarette with a friend I ran into there, there was a car wreck! 3 cars, chain effect rear ending! No one was hurt (good thing) but it was cool as hell to see!

For the encore, we witnessed a fight between a couple. Apparently the male was rather indiscriminate about who, or what gender he slept with, which the lady let us all know very loudly. The guys responce? "Don't be such a baby."

All in all, I had no clue art could be this entertaining. Almost as good as the WWF.

Damn.
The last time I went to an art gallery I walked around silently with my art teacher and looked at pictures of fruit and strange abstract little blobs of paint in assorted colours.
I wanna go to your gallery.

The only vaguely interesting thing that has happened when I went to a gallery was a bomb scare.

It was a few years ago and we had gone to visit the tate gallery in London and the next thing alarms are going off, except we ignored them til we got told to leave the building.

A fireboat (the only thing I can think to call it) came up the Thames and stopped outside (well as near as it could) and there were a couple of fire-engines and police cars.

Unfortunately there was no bomb. A pretty explosion of art work would have been nice...

The last time I went to an art gallery I saw this excellent Animation thingy. Ren and Stimpy were originally conceived as a sketch on an aeroplane sick bag. It was pretty good. I think it was called Kaboom because of Manga's basis in post-atom-bomb Japanese society.

Well then.

You should all consider yourselves lucky. The only art I've been witness to is either half-assed portraits in pencil, giant iron shapes that are supposed to make me think, and various other blobs that are supposed to be indicative of the African-American Experience.

No wonder I changed my major.

My favorite are the "woman" pieces. How many things can YOU make a vulva out of?
