He is hands down the coolest character ever.Han Solo and Steve MCqueen ain't got nothing on Dale Cooper. quote: Cooper: Diane, I've just entered the town of Twin Peaks. Twelve miles south of the Canadian border, eight miles west of the state line. I've never seen so many trees in my life! As W. C. Fields would say, I'd rather be here than Philadelphia.
quote: [Waitress pours Cooper's coffee:] Cooper: Wait a minute! Wait a minute! [sips, sighs blissfully] This is-- excuse me--a DAMN fine cup of coffee. I've had I don't know how many cups of coffee in my life, but this is one of the best. Two eggs over hard. I know, I know, it's hard on the arteries, but old habits die hard--just about as hard as I want those eggs. Two strips of bacon, extra crispy--almost black. Cremate it. And I'd like a big glass of grapefruit juice, just as long as those grapefruits... are freshly squeezed.
The only person that is even close is Emma Peel. hot damn she's cool.

I love agent Cooper! At the first episodes i hated his guts but later on i compeletely fell for him. The only character cooler then cooper will have to be Denice, Cooper's transvestite colleague from the FBI played by David Duchovney. I was completely addicted to that show and bravely sacrificed a good night sleep to watch it. [This message has been edited by spam pilot (edited 03-23-2000).] |

Twin Peaks rocked my world! I wish someone would pick it up in reruns. That clip about breakfast made me really hungry...that's exactly what I would order! Well, the eggs would be hard POACHED, but still... |

Manic,"Twin Peaks" was the show David Lynch worked on in the earlier part of the 1990s which is remembered fondly but at the time was BLASTED for being essentially pointless. The plot (as it was) was Agent Dale Cooper trying to find out how killed Laura Palmer, a local teen who apparently doubled as a prostitute. Unfortunately, a whodunnit plot is good for maybe one season but Lynch padded the investigation with THOUSANDS of subplots which just showed how quirky everyone was. And it ended poorly. Meanwhile, a NBC series called "The Fifth Corner" starring Alex McArthur as a secret agent who lost his memory went unnoticed and died six episodes into it's run. Who cares? Well...I would...I think...

Cooper is definitely the greatest man, fictional or otherwise, who ever existed. From his coffee addiction and a child-like enthusiasm for Douglas furrs to his joke about the two penguins, he deserved better than a crack to the head and an annoying evil laugh. I am still bitter, but me and my therapist are working through it. I hate Jonny Rocket more than anything for not telling me the series was incomplete. I really really hate him. Meanwhile I think Albert runs in close second for the hands down coolest character ever.
quote: Oh yeah? Well, I've had about enough of morons and halfwits, dolts, dunces, dullards and dumbbells--and you, you chowderhead yokel, you blithering hayseed, you--you've had enough of me?
quote: Mr. Horne, I recognize that your position in this fair community pretty much guarantees venality, insincerity, and a rather irritating manner of expressing yourself. Stupidity, however, is not a necessarily inherent trait. Therefore, please listen closely--You can have a funeral any old time. You dig a hole, you plant a coffin. I, however, cannot perform these tests next year, next month, next week or even tomorrow--I must perform them now. <drill noise--VEEP VEEP!> I've got a lot of cutting and pasting to do, gentlemen, so please return to your porch rockers and resume whittling! [Puts drill to Laura's forehead and starts drilling....]
quote: You listen to me. While I will admit to a certain cynicism, the fact is I am a nay-sayer and a hatchet man in the fight against violence. I pride myself in taking a punch and I'll gladly take another because I choose to live my life in the company of Gandhi and King. My concerns are global. I reject absolutely revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method... is love. I love you, Sheriff Truman.
quote: I know, Andy, I know. It's what we call a three-hanky crime.
Okay so maybe I was a little over the top with the quotes, but fuck you. |

You never can have too many Albert quotes. I still get except when I see Albert in other shows and movies. Then I realize that most of the other shows and movies that Albert are in suck. | |
