While perusing through all of the shows listed on the main "WWYK" page, I noticed that no one has yet paid tribute to one of the most horrible 80's sitcoms to ever exist.

I'm referring, of course, to "Small Wonder"... now sing along, everyone...

She's fantastic, made of plastic, microchips here and theeeeere! She's a ...Small Wonder!...

Seeing as every character is equally killable...

V.I.C.K.I - Give one reason not to destroy this insipid android. She sprays tears like a garden hose, lifts heavy objects through cheesy special effects, and is a poster child for why A.I. ought not be further explored.

Jamie - Vicki's pansified brother. This guy needed to hide behind his robotic sister to avoid being beat up by bullies. I mean, come on!

Harriette - (next door neighbor) The perfect example of why some people ought to be subtracted from the gene pool. And from television acting.

Harriette's mother - ditto

Vicki's father - He created the monster. For reasons unknown. Bill Gates' lesser half.

Vicki's mother - Her hairdo is enough for me.

...I don't understand why no one has thought of putting up a tribute to this particular show. I'm sure responses will pour in. Heck, a six-way tie could be imminent.

Heh, heh! I remember that one. I remember it always creeped me out.

Not to long ago, those creepy feelings returned, and were then maginified when I discovered 'Small Wonder' fanfic, and...*shudder*, erotic fanfic.

I cried. Swear to Pete.

Now that you mention it,FatJohnny, That show always did have that weird undertone of something or other... incestuous animatronic pedophilia, I'd term it.

Creepy.

Reeeeaaally creepy.

Casey, I like you, you're great, you're wonderful, but you don't have to sign your name. We know who you are, dude.

Case B, you seem like a decent and intelligent enough fellow, and "Small Wonders" sucked such an astonishingly large amount of balls I wouldn't know where to begin, so I'm going to lend you a hand here;

Rockjock is, how shall we say, not simply being platonically friendly. It was a tough lesson to learn, but thankfully it was Slacker who had to learn it and not me or anyone who isn't a Texan.

Good luck! May I suggest not signing your name anymore? If you cut to the quick he might only give you a few more sniffs and pass on to more susceptive newbies, like Catapault for example.

I apologize for signing my name. I didn't mean to do that as a method to assert my individuality. In fact, I'm probably one of the biggest conformists you could ever meet.

Scratch that. In "real life", I am the BIGGEST conformist you'll ever meet. I don't enjoy making enemies. Unless, of course, they're doddering idiots. Then I just ignore them, like what anyone else with half a brain would do.

Anyhow, The only reason I sign my name is because I'm more used to correspondence, such as email and letters.

So, I'm still very much a "newbie" in the sense that I'm still learning the ropes for forum writing. But I'll be around, so I'll get it down in time.

Oh, by the way...

Platonically...this could either mean one of two things. Either Rockjock is trying to be a bit "too" friendly ('wink wink'), or he's short fuse who can be set off very easily (esp. by newbies)...

Care to explain?!?

I think *wink wink* covers it quite nicely. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Hey Rockjock, considering you're a Geology major, would you consider yourself:

A. The product of abusive change
B. The product of one very big flamer
or
C. The product of eroded intelligence and special "deposits" throughout the soil?

Just having fun with wordplay... sorry if I offended ya'

And yes, I am rather proud of myself for only knowing the three basic rock groups that I learned from sixth grade science camp...

Sometimes (rarely ever) lack of knowledge can be a good thing...

Is any of this supposed to be funny? That your bragging about your sixth grade scholastic abilities, HeadCase, is not surprising. I had the impression I was taking to someone who dropped out of the sixth grade.

And Chunky Salsa, I'd like to remind you again that you know nothing, therefore you are nothing. Sometimes I wonder if you're actually typing, or just banging your fist on the keyboard randomly until the words resemble something that might look like "fancy talk."

Come on guys...settle.

RJ, Case B sounds like he's testing the waters (or lava flow, so to speak).
Case B, RJ is not normally so huffy with newbies. He's on edge.

Start over? Please?

Okay, first off...
Let me say that when I used the term "flamer" I didn't necessarily mean it as a "homosexual" term. It was a triple pun. besides the obvious joke of flamer = volcano, and the term mentioned above, I also meant it as a term to describe people who come on discussion boards/chat rooms saying "fuck this" and "fuck that".

And yeah, I know its easy to say Tostito is the guiltiest one of all in this sense of the word, but hey - that's his way. I've read a lot of the archived stuff, and of all the people I've met in chat rooms (I'm guilty of going into chat rooms to "start stuff" and entertain myself as well), he has to be, by far, the most succesful one of all. Heck, Tostito even admits to this (albeit sarcastically) in his introduction thread.

As far as Rockjock goes, "fuck off" is neither humorous nor intellectual. A two year old can learn this phrase and use it with reckless abandonment (not that I've ever taught any two year olds it... )

I think the title of this thread is now more deserving than it originally was. Here, it started with my lame-o spiel on an eighties sitcom, but has devolved into a spat between Tostito and RJ.

Sure, I can be childish and say, "Tostito started it!!", but perhaps he's just being himself.

So, RJ, I apologize. I haven't the slightest clue how far your "relationship" reaches back with Tostito, so I won't get involved. It wasn't humorous, I was bored.

Oh, and Tostito, if by chance sooner or later you decide to direct your acerbic wit and sardonic humor at me, don't worry, I can't possibly get insulted. I relate to you too much for that. And no, I'm not trying to be patronizing and condescending, simply meeting you on the same level.

Shush, you.

Rockjock;

When you get huffy it's the best, it really is. You act as if "Alright, that's it, you've forced my hand. Now I'm bringing out the big guns" and proceed to go on to completely bland prattle. You aren't funny or even particularly literate, and your transference of insecurities are disturbing. Please, save us all some time in your next reply by summarising it.

Or I could do it for you: "I know you are you said you are but what am I?"

I know I know, I'm an "assfucker". I should fuck off. Quit bashing the keyboard and all.

That's the kind of quality merchandise you dish out, and I'm sure some day it will make me wish I'd never messed in with Rockjock's business.

CockJockey, I salute you. Ride 'em cowboy.

Okay, Case B, I'll assume you're being straight with me (no pun intended, I assure you). I apologize too. I was under the impression that you were trying to be one of Tostito's lackeys, but I can see you have a lot more sense than that. (I have never heard of a volcano being called a "flamer", so you can imagine how I got confused.)

You're right that my vulgarity is a bit ridiculous, and it's rather uncharacteristic of me. That is the only thing he understands, and it's evident that that is all he knows. The relationship goes back to him being a pathetic loser all his life and trying to make people miserable. Just observe when he tells someone he wished they were dead. Ooh, comic gold. Well it's not what I'm prospecting.

So I'm hoping we can forget this, because you seem really competent, and I'd rather be on your good side. And the typos are part of the package.

As for you, Tostito, I'm tired of playing your game. This back-and-forth of yours (pun intended) is a waste of my time, so you won't be indulging your big, fat, bloated ego with any responses from me. As far as I'm concerned you don't exist. Ignoring pests like you is far easier.

I think you owe me an apology Softcock, you called me 'he' like ten times. I mean I'm right here, do you know how rude that is.

You'd think you were raised by Canadians the way you carry on sometimes.
