Earlier today I noticed that the board's latest re-re, Barlac, had an ICQ number in her profile. I thought I might have myself some fun.

Tostito: Greetings

Barlac: salutations.....how are you?

Tostito: I'm in a damn good mood, what about yourself ma'am

Barlac: pretty good.......could be a whole lot worse glad to hear you are

Tostito: Well thankyou

Barlac: no problem where you from?

Tostito: Australia, what about yourself

Barlac: mississippi

Tostito: That's a whole lot of letters.

Barlac: lol......yep....confusing if your dislexic
you ready for the olympics and survivor part 2? you live near close to any of those action happenings?

Tostito: I live in Sydney, the baseball is around 5 minutes drive from my house. It's pretty much the only event I'm interested in.

Barlac: thats cool.....i like baseball also but im kinda hooked on the survivor show....i shoulda tried to find another addiction i guess...lol

Tostito: You know what, I don't want to be rude here or anything, but I seriously hate lol's. They just drive me crazy. Even if you said 'laughing out loud' I would appreciate it, or smileys, or fucking anything, like 'that is funny', but lol makes me want to smash things up.

Barlac: no problem.......im just lazy in writeing out stuff......ill remember that

**********| Boredom... then opportunity |**********

Barlac: i dunno........ummmmmmmmmm im 5'7 and about 135 lbs my life my is a one big huge soap opera

Tostito: Well that's pretty good.

Barlac: what about yourself

Tostito: Hm. I am 63, I have three kids, my wife died 8 years ago from cancer. Sometimes I wake up crying.

Tostito: I read your profile, how much must it stink to have your birthday on News years eve.

Barlac: thats sooooo sad my dad died 3 yrs ago in a car accident.....im in remission of cancer...so i know how you feel.......im in like great shape compared to others....oh its great......my boyfriend and i usually go to the casino

Tostito: Yeah, it must work out kinda nice. I think cancer is sort of cool though.

Barlac: well i learned alot about myself and others like who i can really count on during that time well mine right now isnt bad now....but i have take meds for the rest of my life b/c there isnt a cure for it

Tostito: Well that's no good. It must be KINDA fun though, right??

Barlac: laugh.....how

Tostito: Huh?

Barlac: how it fun?

Tostito: Taking meds. WOO HOO

Barlac: oh haha.....my meds arent for pain..im allergic to pain meds or they dont work but yeah i know some ppl who think the meds are the shit....laugh laugh

Tostito: No, but the whole fact that you could technically come out of remission and die at any time must be pretty scary/cool, right?

Barlac: scary yes......very much so

Tostito: What about the cool part, is it cool scary or bad scary. Sometimes I wish I had cancer.

Barlac: bad scary if im haveing a bad day.....and just plain annoying knowing that i cant eat what i want and such

Tostito: Yeah, that must suck.
Hey is cancer an STD? Because I was doing my wife's dead body (It's really starting to smell!) and I felt a lump on my testicle.

Barlac: okay you just freaked me out

Tostito: Why??

Barlac: here ill copy what you posted and you tell me.

Tostito: So what?? That's perfectly natural. Don't be so immature, sex isn't a sin.

Barlac: you said she was dead

Tostito: She is. She's in my cupboard. She would have wanted it that way.

Barlac: i still have my dad too but hes cremated but thats all hes here for

Tostito: Well my wife liked pleasing me, and this way she can continue to do so.

Barlac: ohhhhhhh okay.....well I guess its what ever floats your boat......well i gotta go....i have to be at work early in the morning......you have a good tuesday or whatever day it is there byebye

Tostito: it's Tuesday every day here, baby.

Barlac: i bet it is

Voila. Well I enjoyed my afternoon, I was home today and fairly bored.

How would I go about doing that, though.

Or baiting.org, though that is a lot more sex based.

Y'know, for a second I thought you were going to go a bit to far for my tastes in the cancer dept. But then you brought in necrophilia, and saved it. Bravo, Tostito, bravo!

Hope Barlac can see the humor here. If not, oh well.

Personally, I was hoping for a guilt trip rave from Barlac about how everything isn't a game, and how people's lives aren't just something for some punk kid to giggle at.

But if she liked it that could be cool too.

I would have found it funny...but the cancer part just pisses me off slightly.

Don't mean to be a stick in the mud or whatever, but a close family member had it and is still taking medication for it and I could get the same thing, which scares me a bit.

I'm taking this WAY too seriously aren't I? Sorry can't help it, it upsets me a bit, I'm soft, I'm a girl!!....

If I heard someone had cancer right now, I would certainly not find it funny. If someone was convinced that another person had cancer even though they didn't and were all freaked out for twenty minutes, then I would find something to laugh about.

Cancer is a wonderful platform for fucking with people, nothing more. I don't literally sit here laughing at the idea of a tumour slowly eating a person. The comedy is in how much bullshit people will eat up with a spoon.

I don't consider this 'beating' the person, however. To a certain extent only morons believe this stuff, but then again if some stranger told me over the internet that they had cancer politeness demands of me that I say something along the lines of 'I'm sorry to hear that'. Would this mean they had just 'got one on me'? I don't think so.

I don't think cancer parodies say as much about the victim's stupidity as they do about my sense of humour, but I enjoy them, some other people seem to enjoy them, and that's really all that counts.

I thought it was pretty bad to fuck someone telling the truth to you whilst I was reading it (unless if they weren't). But once the necro was into it, I couldn't help but feel dissapointed that the story had no more credability and they had no more belief in anything you were saying.
