I would have to say that the Love Boat jumped the shark when the guest stars all started to appear on Fantasy Island too. Da Plane, Da Plane!

There are many spooky similarities between the Love Boat and Star Trek. Afterall, they both had bald captains, black bartenders and cheesy themesongs. I'm beginning to think that the Love Boat was actually Aaron Spellings attempt to abduct second rate actors and send them to the unemployment lines.
